The Hilton hotel chain just hosted a development forum in Mexico City, Mexico this week to help reinforce the company’s new plans to expand throughout the country. This event, which was held at the Hampton Inn and Suites Mexico City came just after the recent announcement of the company’s plans for their very first Hilton Garden Inn management agreement in Chiapas, Mexico.
This forum brought together many executives from Hilton Hotels’ development team. Three different representatives from the company’s brands (Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn by Hilton, and Embassy Suites By Hilton) came, as well as key decision makers from Mexico’s hotel investor and development community.
The senior director of development for the Hilton Hotels Corporation, George Massa, said that it’s a very exciting time for Hilton to bring these new hotels into Mexico. The continued success in Mexico is the result of a very good combination of developers, targeting key markets and the combination of brands. Hilton Hotels looks forwards to working with developers to help grow their portfolio in this amazing country.
Later on this year, Hilton Hotels has announced plans to actually quadruple its presence in the Caribbean and Latin American. This is going to be done with the addition of 150 hotels over the next five years, which does include 60 new hotels in Mexico. As a way to keep the momentum going, Hilton invited investors and developers alike to spend the day learning about the company’s brands. So far everything remains on track for the opening of all the hotels within the five year time slot.
