According to a new report conducted by Hotels.com, cab drivers in London are still the most preferred drivers in the whole world. This annual cab driver survey goes on to show that the London taxi drivers may be the most expensive, but they are also the most liked. In fact, 28 percent of respondents voted in favor of London cab drivers. This was far more votes than any other city in the world.

The survey looked at a number of different things to come up with this figure. Consumers say that London drivers have the best personality and are also the most knowledge of their city. This is what gave these drivers the edge over other drivers in other cities.

Oddly enough, it was Koreans who were especially fond of London cab drivers. Some 37 percent of Koreans who took part in the survey actually voted in favor of these cab drivers. They feel that London cab drivers are the most talkative and friendly in the world. 30 percent of Germans actually feel the same way.

The director of communications for Hotels.com, Alison Couper, said that taxi drivers are commonly the first people who visitors from other countries meet when they visit a new place. Thus, it is very important for cab drivers to be friendly. Happy cab drivers can actually start people off on a good holiday.

New York City taxi drivers actually came in second place. This was due to having the best availability. That being said, they only received about 9 percent of the vote. This shows the big lead that London drivers had over New York City drivers.
