Hampton Hotels Opened 17 Properties in June

The well known international brand, Hampton Hotels, owns nearly 1,700 mid-priced Hampton Hotels around the world. Late last week it announced the opening of 17 new properties during June of 2009. This brought in an extra 1,514 new rooms to the Hampton Hotels profile.

These 17 hotels opened by Hampton Hotels in June represents the largest amount of hotels opened in a one month spread thus far in 2009. These new openings included nine Hampton Inn hotels, one Hampton In by Hilton, and eight Hampton Inn and Suites.

Phil Cordell, the Global head of Hilton Focused Service and Hampton Brand Management, said that the number of hotels that they opened in June is just further proof that Hampton Hotels’ strength is both for franchisees and travelers. He went on to note that the core foal for the company is to have a support team for franchisees and, of course, the 100 percent satisfaction guarantee for their guests.

Travel experts have noted that this is a big deal to see a hotel company expanding during these tough times. They go on to say that not only is it amazing to see a hotel company expand, but it’s amazing to see one expanding so quickly in such a short time frame. Many hotels are having a hard time keeping their doors open without trying to open up 17 new hotels over the course of a month.

Although this is good news for Hampton Hotels, experts say that the hotel industry is still far away from total recovery. Until the travel industry returns to normal, the hotel industry can only ride it out.
