Starwood Hotels & Resorts Announces Le Méridien Shimei Bay Beach Resort & Spa
Stewart PerryStarwood Hotels & Resorts has announced that the Le Méridien Shimei Bay Beach Resort & Spa will be opening soon. This resort and spa is the first 5-star resort to open on Hainan Island in Wanning City. The property consists of a more than 3-mile long pristine beach with panoramic views overlooking the South China Sea. The property is also surrounded by forest. The Le Méridien Shimei Bay Beach Resort & Spa will feature 275 guest rooms and 25 villas. Each of these will have a private balcony that will overlook either the mountains or the sea.
This resort will offer an experience that is rich with European culture, and guests can enjoy the options of 3 lounges and 3 stylish restaurants. Breakers is the name of the hotels dining restaurant, where Jean-Georges Vongerichten creates a number of dishes. At the Ai Mei Chinese restaurant, guests are offered popular Chinese, Cantonese, and Hainan cuisine and specialties. Horizon Bar + Grill is where guests can order a signature cocktail or dishes from a diverse menu at poolside.
The resort and spa will also feature steam rooms, spa cabanas, massage rooms, a spa bistro, a spa boutique, and a hair salon, as well as 5 meeting rooms and an almost 6,000 square foot ballroom, which are all also inspired by Asian and European traditions.
