New Hotel Chain In India

India’s luxury accommodation is set to experience a new player Citrus Hotels is making its debut.

The new hotel chain will be operated by Mind Space hotels and resorts, property of Omprakash Bhandari, Omprakash Goenka and Ramesh Thakkar.

The chain’s first hotel was launched in the Pimpri-Chinchwad region of Pune. The premium accommodation company provides 143 guest rooms and long stay suites plus banquet and conference facilities capable of accommodating gatherings exceeding 500 guests. The hotel also features a lounge, gymnasium, swimming pool and a business center.

Citrus Hotels offers fine dining experiences with restaurants showcasing both Oriental and Mediterranean cuisine. Other amenities include a lounge where special teas, fresh coffee, juices and snacks are served. As well, the hotel has a bar which offers a wide range of cocktails, mocktails, beers, liquors and wines.

Other great features at Pimpri’s Citrus Hotel include a three-minute check-in service, a Maxi bar, Deli café takeaway, 24-hour room service, health club, swimming pool and a spa.

Mirah Group & CITRUS Hotels Director Omprakash Goenka said that the launch of the Citrus Hotel in Pimpri represents an unprecedented step towards full service, sophisticated, smart and stylish hotels in India for the value-conscious customer.

India’s Department of Tourism has revealed that 70% of hotel guests in the country are domestic costumers and if the trend continues, the demand in the business and tourism domestic market may increase by 15% to 20% per year during the next five years.

Mr Goenka added that the company had spotted a huge opportunity in the mid-segment of the accommodation industry in India, thus initiating Citrus Hotels. He said the hotel chain is marketed as a complete hospitality option under one roof, and a company which provides a variety of services for the demanding leisure and business travelers.
