Best Western Launches First Laos Hotel
Tiffany PhillipsBest Western has recently launched its first hotel in the south East Asian country of Laos.
The new accommodation is set in a prime location on Francois Ngin rd in Vientiane, the capital city. Best Western Vientiane Hotel basks in a peaceful atmosphere, immediately neighbouring the beautiful Mekong River.
This is the first of its kind for Best Western which plans a series of others hotels across the beautiful country.
The new Best Western is ideal hotel for visitors searching for a charming and tranquil environment, although still benefiting from a close proximity to commercial and business districts, restaurants, main markets and attractions. Vientiane’s airport, Wattay International, is only 10 kms away.
Best Western Vice President International Operations Asia Glenn de Souza said that his company was very excited to be expanding their operations into Laos. He added that the Asian country’s has become increasingly popular has a tourist destination and hold great development potential.
This highlights Laos’ need for accommodation of an international standard for which Best Western is seen as an industry leader aro8und the world, Mr. de Souza said.
The amenities featured at Best Western Vientiane include a swimming pool, fitness room, business centre, recreational area where hotel guests may enjoy the use of free internet access 24 hours a day and a restaurant offering a selection of local specialties as well as Western cuisine.
Best Western International has big plans for Laos. In August 2008, the company set up shop in Vientiane with an Area Development Office which keeps close ties with the chain’s Asia Head Office in Bangkok. From there, Best Western International plans to launch hotels in key Laos destinations such as Luang Prabang, Xien Khouang, Champasak and Bokeo within 3 years.
