The Post Office cautions about travel insurance

As skiers flock to the Alps for a promising winter holiday, The Post Office wants to caution its clientele about the importance of travel insurance.

It wasn’t to remind holiday makers of the all to important step towards accomplishing all travel preparations is to check that travel insurance policies haven’t expired.

According to a recent market study, as many as 80 percent of skiers who skipped on the pleasures of the powdery white slopes last years are planning to return to their favourite winter activity this season.

This means that several travelling insurance policies are outdated and need to be renewed.

Post Office Travel Insurance thus urges holidaymakers heading out for those fun but slippery slopes to take the time to verify the validity of their travel insurance policies.

Post Office Travel Insurance also wants people to note forget to carefully read the small print on their travel insurance policy in order to ensure they are properly covered for the kind of activity they are planning to be carrying out.

Both single trip and annual multi-trip travel insurance policies from the Post Office Travel Insurance provide protection for winter sport vacationers with a focus on coverage for a broad range of eventualities.

For example, Post Office Travel Insurance covers up to £300 for piste closures. Additional travel insurance is also available to acquire extra coverage protecting for up to £700 for theft or loss of your valuable winter sports equipment.
