Alton Towers New Roller Coaster Offers Health Insurance
Abi BrayFor anyone that is looking for an all out thrill ride, then they cannot go wrong with Alton Towers’ new Th13teen roller coaster. This roller coaster is suppose to be so intense that Alton Towers is actually offering health insurance for it.
Travelers that go to the park, for an extra £1, can be covered for not only physical but psychological trauma that is caused by the ride. They will also have access to a medical expert who is being stationed at the ride site.
This move comes just after Alton Towers revealed that Th13teen, which is set to open March 20th, will combine elements of physical, as well as psychological fear. Experts are now calling this ride the world’s first psychoaster. Alton Towers is sure that people from all around the world will travel to their park in order to ride this one of a kind ride.
Dr Amar Ahmed from Wilmslow, Cheshire, is one of the team doctors who is working with Alton Towers Resort on Th13teen. He said that roller coasters are known for producing extreme physical effects on the body. This is one reason why so many people like to ride them. However, Th13teen is a new kind of coaster that riders will not be prepared for, and the Alton Towers Resort is taking every measure to ensure guests will be safe. This includes access to expert medical help.
So is this roller coaster that intense? Well it very likely could be, but not many people would know yet since the ride has yet to open. Some experts, on the other hand, are more than just a little skeptical. They go on to say that this whole thing seems more like a PR stunt than anything else. After all, who would not want to ride the first roller coaster in the world to offer insurance before the rider gets on?
