Michael O’Leary From Ryanair Says Unite Leaders are Dimwits

Something that people do not see everyday has finally happened. Michael O’Leary, the Ryanair boss, has backed his rival, British Airways, against the cabin crew strike. British Airways head Willie Walsh and Michael O’Leary are two men that usually don’t see eye-to-eye.

Just after the first strike came to an end Mr O’Leary, who is known by the media as “Mr. O’Really,” went on to describe the way he saw Unite leaders. Unfortunately for Unite, he views them as: “dinosaurs”, “fat cats”, “head bangers”, and of course “a bunch of dimwits.”

Mr O’Leary said that it is insane for the cabin crew at British Airways to be striking at a time of global recession. This goes double for the fact that enormous losses are being reported at British Airways. It’s not very often that he has supported Willie Walsh, but he is absolutely right in this case.

Ryanair provided British Airways with some replacement flights during the first three days of the strike. He said that it will do more in the four day strike that is going to take place this weekend. This proves that airlines are willing to stick together when they feel one of them is getting pushed around by unions.

British Airways is reviewing its flying schedule for the second strike period of March 27th ,28th ,29th , and 30th. The main aim for the airline is to fly as many passengers as possible so their consumers will not be affected by the strike action. British Airways did confirm that no hot food would be available on their flights until the end of the month. However, people will still be able to order alcoholic drinks.
