About Beaches

Anything relationated with wather sport, take sun, swimming, the village is very nice in summer, there are many small restaurants, very good fish to eat, many places on the beach to drink at nicht with alive music.
People come here mainly for the beaches and relaxing pace of life. There are lots of bars in Zahara, many over-looking the seafront; you can relax and watch the spectacular sunsets that this area is famous for.

Out and about all night long..
The nightlife in Zahara de los Atunes, Spain is lazy, relaxed and informal. It normally involves eating out late, then going for drinks in some of the many local bars, pubs, or chiringuitos on the beach. Chiringuitos often have live entertainment…flamenco shows etc. The locals here are very fond of their music and are always happy to let foreigners join in.

Chiringuitos are temporary bars and restaurants. They’re shack-like structures put up during the high season and then taken down for the winter period. During the hot summer months, the beaches become very crowded and the chiringuitos fill up with the fun summer people. Most are situated facing out over the Atlantic and have great sunset views. The tunes played are normally chill-out and ambient.

The biggest parties are during the summer, from July to August. The action gets going late. Everything starts happening after about 11.30 and goes on till the early morning hours. Sometimes there is live music too.

About General Entertainment

In two years there will be a fatantisc golf resort, but at the moment the nearest place is Montenmedio Golf Court, placed in Vejer de la Frontera, 10 km. from the apartment The Montenmedio golf course (6.260 meters, 18 holes and par 72) is different from all other Spanish courses. Not a single building affects its fairways and Greens. It is surrounded by forests of wild olive, cork oak and pine trees and has impressive views of the Atlantic, the with villages such as vejer de la frontera, Benalup and Medina, and also of the African coast of tangiers and Espartel.

Playing its 18 holes is always fun and surprising: deer, rabbits, ducks and other animals accompany the player along his gentle round. The club house is designed in neoclassic Andalusien style with Asian influences and subtle furnishings and offers excellent golf services.

Its excellent location enables you to take advantage of a diverse range of activities during your stay. You have the music festival that takes place in July and which involves some of the most important groups in the country.

For trips you can travel to Morocco. From Tarifa, one of the towns bordering Zahara, every day when weather conditions permit, there are various ferry connections with Tangiers. Their closeness is such that from the beach of Zahara will have the good fortune of seeing the wonderful landscape of Africa in the skyline. Other interesting excursions that we recommend are the whale watching in the Gibraltar strait or visit the historical centre of the three millennium old Cadiz, as well as the Roman ruins at Baelo Claudia in Bolonia.

Among the sports, surfing, kitesurfing and diving will offer the thrills. You also cannot miss the opportunity to practice horse-riding on beaches and through the local pine forests.

From the port of Barbate we recommend you go on a charter boat, either as an activity purely for pleasure or for fishing.

If you are someone who like to shop, in Los Barrios you have a large commercial centre, while Bahia Sur in San Fernando and Area Sur in Jerez de la Frontera not too far away.
