The ground floor (cave) is now used as a garage (space for two cars) and for storage. Doors at the end of the cave lead directly into the walled courtyard garden with its recently installed swimming pool ( 8m x 4m: depth 1.55m). The first floor consists of a large salon (40m²) with three long windows, divided into a dining and sitting area. This light room overlooks the small village square. Across the hall is the petit salon which overlooks the garden. This may be used either as a small sitting room or as a 5th bedroom (Double sofa bed with sprung mattress). The newly fitted kitchen (July 2003) is equipped with a fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob, double sink and dishwasher. This room is a sunny & pleasant place to eat with its French doors opening onto the terrace. The terrace, furnished with tables, chairs and parasols, has stairs leading directly down to the garden & swimming pool. Also on the first floor is a large tiled room with shower, wash basin & washing machine & laundry area. Next door to this room is a toilet. The second floor has 4 double bedrooms (one en- suite), two with double beds and two which are twin-bedded. The large bathroom (18m²) was originally a bedroom before the house was renovated; with its chairs, tables, book case & open fireplace, it is a pleasant place to relax in after a day?s sightseeing! There is a separate toilet next to the bathroom. Courtyard garden and Pool The stone-walled and stone-flagged garden measures a little over 100 m². With its pool, potted containers, hanging plants and wall vines, eating-out area under the overhanging terrace, parasols & garden furniture, the secluded garden offers the the best of both worlds, sun & shade - a haven of peace. General information about the House The house was renovated from top to bottom in the summer of 2003, and 2004 is the first period that the house has been available for rental. Most of the floors in the house are patterned & plain terra cotta tiles & the house is furnished throughout in a mixture of French & English traditional & antique furniture. The kitchen is equipped with everything necessary for cooking ? crockery, cutlery, glasses, saucepans, coffee maker, electric kettle, etc. Whilst the property ?officially? sleeps 10, there is more than enough crockery & glasses should guests wish to entertain friends. The large salon has a small double sofa bed which could be used for over-night & occasional guests. Linen and towels are provided, and beds are made up for arrivals. English-speaking help is available in the village for any housekeeping or property problems. The house contains a plentiful supply of books, guidebooks, & maps, as well as board games, and has a telephone, enabling Internet access
