Casa Luna is a two-bedroom custom adobe house with a one bedroom attached casita located on 5 acres of pristine desert adjoining a 160 aces wildlife preserve. The passive-solar adobe home is located 30 minutes west of Tucson near the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum and the Saguaro National Park West. It is the perfect destination for those wanting stunning desert views, clear night skies and spectacular sunsets. The area is great for hiking, birding and stargazing. The house features brick floors, wood ceilings and Mexican tile through out. The brightly painted doors and cabinets, Mexican decorations are reminiscent of features found in Mexican haciendas. Each living area has ceiling fans and electric heating as well as evaporative cooling. The living room features an adobe fireplace, a foldout couch, a TV with VCR and open access to the dining area and the large kitchen. Each bedroom has a queen bed, private bath and private patio. . There is a private telephone line with an answering machine and a BBQ. One bedroom has an adobe fireplace. Casita Nopalito is a one-bedroom passive-solar adobe house of approximately 600 square feet. The house features one bedroom, a full bath, a living/dining/kitchen area, and a private patio. Each room has a ceiling fan, electric heat and evaporative cooling. The house has brick floors, wood ceilings and Mexican tile through out. The brightly colored kitchen includes a two-burner stove, full size refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, and coffee maker. The living room is complete with a fold down futon, cable TV with VCR and a telephone. There is one queen bed in the bedroom and a full bath. The casita is attached to Casa Luna, a two-bedroom adobe house. Between the house and the casita are a two-car carport and a patio. Shared areas include an outdoor hot tub, a carport and a laundry room. No walls are shared by the living spaces of the houses so each unit has a great deal of privacy.
