This former fishermans house sits in the dunes above Utah Beach has stunning views across to Grand Camp Maisy and Point du Hoc. There is a pathway from the back gate leading directly onto this world famous beach. Located 500 meters from the American memorial it is still private and peaceful as it is tucked away within a cluster of 30 houses - ours one of 14 with stunning sea & beach views. In the other direction we are 500 meters from the Bird Sanctuary. Major refurbishment work has just been done to the house and will be ready for the 60th anniversary of D Day 6th June 2004. Work done includes fitting new bathrooms, refurbished bedrooms, creating a garden, updating the conservatory and generally creating a very comfortable home from home property for holidays. All the linen, duvets, bedding and furniture is new and of a high standard. This house is the same standards, possibly higher, than our other beach fronted house in St Germain Sur Ay. The kitchen is fully equiped and has tea, coffee, condiments, herbs,spices, pasta, stock cubes etc. all we ask if that if you use anything please replace for the next folk.
