Cannon Dam Cabins have 1 and 2 bedroom units along our own private lake. All of our cabins are very modern and offer all modern amenities, fully furnished kitchens that include a microwave coffee pot, toaster, dishes and cooking pans. All cabins have satellite TV, AC, carpet, and include all linens and towels. Outside of each cabin guests will find a private area for cooking out as well as a large common area with a gazebo, playground and campfire ring. We also have a new indoor pool with jacuzzi, hot tub and sauna. Our general store is on site and features a wide variety of goods including pizza, snacks, liquor & beer, and the best selection of fishing bait and tackle in the area.

MArk Twain Lake was included in the top 25 fishing spots in the United States. Many species abound in the lake and nearby rivers and streams. The most popular species are Crappie, Bass, Catfish and walleye.

About Family Activities

The Mark Twain Birthplace state historic site is about 20 miles from our cabins. We are located only 30 miles from Hannibal, Missouri. Hannibal is the boyhood home of Mark Twain and contains many of the actual places that are mentioned is his famous books such as The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Visitirs to Hannibal can visit various Mark Twain sites including the Mark Twain Cave and can take a scenic cruise on the Mark Twain Riverboat to get a first hand look at life on the Mississippi.
