Fern Cottage is a traditional cottage located beside a nature reserve at the heart of the Cairngorms National Park in the village of Braemar. This comfortable cottage, built of traditional stone, has been modernised throughout, yet retains many period features; such as Victorian fireplaces, servants bells and a deep cast iron bath - for relaxing at the end of the day! The property features all modern conveniences making it suitable for families, friends or couples. The village is a few minutes walk away and provides all local and tourist facilities such as shops, banks and restaurants. The large garden is fenced to contain wandering toddlers or dogs. Garden furniture and a barbecue are provided. Beyond the garden lies the open countryside with views to the Cairngorm mountains and the river Dee. Red deer are frequently seen grazing outside the cottage and much other wildlife including red squirrels, peregrines, golden eagles, roe deer and capercaillie are also often seen.
