Casa Casciano is a delightful country cottage, situated to the south of Siena in Casciano, a typical Italian village with classic narrow streets and stone buildings. Within walking distance of the apartment is a bakery, post office, shop, restaurant and a pizzeria. The landscape in this part of Tuscany is characterised by dense woodland and the cottage is in a very peaceful and secluded location. Tuscany’s grandest monastery, Monte Oliveto Maggiore is situated just half an hour from the property and many other hill-top towns such as Montalcino and Montepulciano are close by. The owners have paid a great deal of attention to the house and the surrounding gardens. The air is scented with jasmine and roses and at the bottom of the garden there is a natural pond with water lilies. Guests will enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounding countryside from the swimming pool. Sun loungers, chairs and tables are provided. There is also a barbecue close to the apartment. The cottage is ideal for a relaxing holiday. Entrance is from a private patio with table and chairs into the sitting room. There are two comfy settees and a television. The lounge leads through an archway to the spacious, fully equipped kitchen (cooking hob, oven, fridge/freezer). There is a twin bedroom ( can also be made into a double) and a bathroom with a shower.
