A Four Star Canada Select property nestled in a secluded valley at the end of Doyles Road, (but only 2 km from the Cabot Trail), our BnB is somewhat unique in that the guest rooms are actually located in a building separated across a driveway from the main house. You can see this building in the pictures on our main web page, (e-mail and ask). The bedrooms are upstairs and, in the same building, there is a common room downstairs that is excellent for relaxing, reading or watching Satellite T.V., (Star Choice). Breakfast, including trout if desired, is served in the main house, in the sunroom, which you can also see in our photo. Our breakfasts are full--my wife prides herself on guests not leaving hungry! In fact, as far as the trout breakfast is concerned, one can even catch it oneself. As a bonus, in season, the hummingbirds will join you for their meal at one of the feeders right outside the windows and, most mornings, the Bald Eagle often comes to check out the menu! Before beginning your trip to Cape Breton Island and Nova Scotia be sure to obtain a copy of "Doers and Dreamers, Nova Scotia't Travel Guide". It is excellent and free. Ask for extra information on Cape Breton Island when you do so! Remember, there is a lot to do no matter where you are in Nova Scotia. The biggest complaint we hear from guests is that they have planned to much in too little time. The roads are winding and hilly with a view around every turn! To sum up, when in Margaree one can 'do' as much as one wishes but we look on the area as a place to 'Be'. Come and relax. Let us spoil you. You deserve it!
