Self-catering accommodation for 6 people La Dependance is a converted coach house in the 25 acre grounds of the Domaine de Meautry hunting lodge ? reputed to have been used by Louis XVI to hunt in the surrounding forest. Despite his efforts there continues to be plenty of wildlife with wild boar and deer frequently seen! With exception of the space immediately around the main house, there is plenty of space for children to play, though guests should be aware that there is a lake and we do keep horses in the grounds. La Dependance has its own secluded patio with garden furniture and barbeque. There is a swimming pool available to guests. We are in easy reach of numerous market towns, with St Pierre sur Dives only 12Km away which holds the largest and most popular weekly market in the area. There is a bar within walking distance (10 mins) along a rural road and we are approximately 45 minutes from the coast. The coach house has been sympathetically restored keeping many of its Norman features and refurbished with an interior designer?s touch. Carol and Vince Ford live in the hunting lodge so help is close to hand if needed. On the ground floor: a lounge/dining-room with TV and video, dining room table and chairs, sofa and armchairs; and a fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker, microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer, and cutlery and crockery for 6 people; doors leading on to the patio and garden to the rear, providing privacy from the rest of the property. On the first floor: a large double bedroom with a feature four poster bed and en suite hip bath/shower room; toilet; single bedroom; bathroom with basin, toilet and bath with power shower; large family room with single and double beds and basin.
