Les Hirondelles is a converted farmstead nestling in a quiet, sheltered, valley of chestnut and pine forests on the edge of a tiny hamlet in the Ambazac hills. Our two adjoining cottages form part of the old farmstead and have been renovated to provide comfortable self catering accommodation. Le Colombier is a traditional Limousin farm cottage which has been completely renovated yet retains all of its original features including an enormous Limousin fireplace, the original oak door, and the stone sink which now forms a feature under the window. The cottage overlooks the main courtyard to the front of the farmstead, with flowerbeds and the compulsory hay cart! Le Colombier is heated during the early spring and late autumn season. Le Colombier shares a large garden with 30ft. kidney shaped swimming pool, boules court, table tennis, badminton and childrens swings. There is also a barbecue area here (in addtition to your private barbecues) if you wish to eat by the pool. The pool and garden area is well supplied with garden furniture and sun loungers. The hamlet and the surrounding countryside is a perfect place for an evening stroll before dinner, where you can soak up the stunning scenery and the relaxed atmosphere of this tranquil area - one of the few remaining unspoilt areas of the real France.
