Casa Madeira D'Alegria is a pretty old cottage, recently renovated to the highest standards providing luxury accomodation and amenities. It is situated in the quiest and lovely old village of Budens, among rustic houses owned by the local Portuguese population. Yet just five minutes walk or a very short drive away, is the magnificent Parque da Floresta Golf course and its leisure facilities offering tennis, bowls, archery, a Gym and Health Spa to name but a few featutures. We can offer our clients 20% reduction in green fees at PDF and its sister course Boa Vista in Lagos. Other golf courses at Penina and Palmares are a short drive away. BEACHES. There are at least 10 beautiful beaches within 5-10 minutes drive of Casa D'Alegria and numerous little villages with bars and estaurants to suit every taste and pocket. Our own village of Budens has mini markets selling a full range of foods and fresh produce. We have five bars and restaurants in the village, very traditional, populated by the locals who always give our visitors a warm welcome. Lagos Town, ten minutes drive away, with its stunning marina, is historical in architecture and full of excellent shops cafes restaurants. There is much to do and see here and night life may even be found , to entertain into the small hours. Casa Madeira D'Alegria has a large and very private sun terrace with pool, loungers, outside tables and chairs, barbecue and is abundantly planted with beautiful bouganvilla and tropical pot plants and trees. It has two full bathroom / shower suites, a mgnificent oven range , for those who like to cook well for themselves and comfortable bed that may be congigured as twins or doubles.
