In a quiet, medieval village, on COLOMBIERS, a port on the famous Canal du Midi, between Beziers and Narbonne, some 20 mn from the Mediterranean beaches. All necessary amenities (4 mn by foot) close in the village : restaurants, PO, supermarket, bakers, library, pharmacy .. The villa Caroline gets a Mediterranean character and includes 3 comfortable apartments overlooking the pool, all equipped with satellite TV (many English channels, access to Internet, linen bed, towels, hairdryer, dishwasher, washing machine, iron, stone BBQ (for each flat), cycles, secured parking and garage. Two flats (for one couple 50 m² + terrace) comprises spacious living with sofa, fully equipped kitchenette, bright shower room with massage shower, double bed room. 2 cycles are provided for the small flats. One large flat (for 2 or 3 couples 110 m² + terrace) includes spacious fully equipped kitchen and living by the terrace and the pool, on the first floor, and on the second floor : one very bright double bed room with an ensuite shower room, a second room with twin beds, and then a big bathroom with bath shower, and sauna. On the ground, there is the garage and the washing machine. 4 cycles are provided for the big flat. This area is sheltered by trees, flowering shrubs and other Mediterranean vegetation and furnished with sun-loungers and towels with mention "Villa Caroline". To secure (new French legislation) there is an antomatic curtain which maintains the water clean and warm, during the night. This means that during June and September the water temperature is between 23° - 30°. The location is located about 20 minutes drive away at St Pierre, Valras Plage and Serignan Plage. Should you like to travel further, Spain, The Camargue, the high Languedoc, the Tarn and important towns such as Montpellier, Perpignan and Carcassonne, are all within a 90 minutes drive away. Airports at Montpellier, Toulouse, Perpignan and Carcassonne are serviced from the UK. Vias, near Beziers, gives access via Paris. Both Beziers and Narbonne have good train links on the high speed (TVG). (Narbonne is a Motorail Terminal). We can add in this area are the more important works of Pierre Paul Riquet (who made the Canal du Midi classificated in december 1996 to the title World Heritage Site), the locks of Fonseranes, the Malpas Tunnel (first tunnel in the world traversed by a navigation canal).Along the canal du Midi, there is a great pleasure to discover the different villages or towns rich in historic past (Olonzac, Minerves, ....;)
