'Harbour Lights' is in the picturesque village of Pittenweem near St Andrews Scotland. It is situated right on the shorefront. It sleeps 6, has three bedrooms with 1 ensuite. It is named 'Harbour Lights' because it directly overlooks the lights placed in the Firth of Forth, near the breakwater, to help the boats come back safely into the harbour at night. Pittenweem was first mentioned as a port in 1228. The outer pier is the oldest, first built in stone around the mid-16th century, the middle pier was built in 1771 by Sir John Anstruther, and the west pier was added when the fishing industry was booming in the 19th century. Harbour Lights, with its wonderful unrestricted seaside views, has been newly renovated and refurbished to the highest standard. We have recently been awarded 4 Stars by Visit Scotland. The internal stair hall leads to the open plan lounge, kitchen and dining areas. The lounge has spectacular sea views looking onto the harbour and beyond to the Bass Rock. The new fully fitted kitchen is equipped with fridge, freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine/ tumble drier and again has generous granite preparation areas and storage. The master bedroom with king-size bed and new fitted wardrobes overlooks the harbour and has the benefit of having excellent sea views. Bedroom 2 is a twin bedded room with new fitted wardrobes and with the benefit of new en-suite facilities comprising large luxury shower together with w.c and wash hand basin. However the new bedroom 3 on the second floor is our favourite room. This twin-bedded room has stunning sea views in every direction from its cosy escape situated at the front of the bedroom. From your comfortable and calm seat you will be able to look down on the bustle of the harbour, and wonder at the beauty of the sea, and its waves, as they stretch out and crash below you. Don't forget to bring your binoculars! The new large family bathroom is next to bedroom 3. There is new central heating throughout the property. There is also a large garden and courtyard/patio (shared with 'Harbour View') complete with garden furniture and a barbecue allowing you to make the most of those long and sunny evenings. 'Harbour Lights' is part of the same Grade B Listed House as Harbour View. 'Harbour View' is ground floor accommodation with the ability to park outside the front door. It sleeps 2-4, has two bedrooms 1 double 1 twin, bath and shower, fully-fitted luxurious kitchen and central heating throughout. It is possible for larger groups to book both Harbour Lights and Harbour View and thereby accommodate up to 10 persons whilst still retaining both comfort and some privacy. We have a wonderful selection of other luxury properties available throughout the picturesque fishing villages of the East Neuk. For instance, our premier holiday home is St Andrews House, which directly overlooks Crail harbour and has spectacular sea views across the Firth of Forth. It sleeps 6, has three bedrooms with master ensuite, open plan fully fitted kitchen/dining, spacious lounge with open fire, central heating, and street car parking. One bedroom overlooks a large walled garden with attractive rockery features, beautiful borders and patio. The lounge, dining room and the other two bedrooms all have superb sea views.
