Rockledge Cottage is a unique cabin located in Phippsburg Maine on scenic Popham Beach. Rockledge sits on a hill over-looking the gorgeous whitesand beach. Hand-built by my grandfather, the cottage is perfect for families and is located just a few dozen yards from the beach. There are 3 bedrooms. One master bedroom and 2 smaller bedrooms each with a set of bunk beds. We do allow dogs as long as you don't let them run unattended outdoors. The cottage has a fully functional eat-in kitchen (stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc...), one 3/4 bathroom, den, frontroom overlooking the beach, tv with limited cable (local stations), and local phone service. I had the roof insulated 2 years ago to temper the cool New England nights. Electric heaters are located in each room for your comfort. This place is perfect for family vacations. I work at the beach as an artist next door so I am constantly available for help and advice (even the occasioanl baby-sitting job). The cottage has a spectacular view of the ocean and the river. It is perched up on a hill overlooking everything. We have a private tennis court for my family, tennants, and friends. I am looking into building a fire pit this spring for cookouts (wood-burning with a gril for steaks, burgers, and hot dogs, plus don't forget roasting marshmellows).
