Laughing Bear Cabin is nestled amongst an old growth forest canopy. It is 1,300 square feet; 3-bedroom log cabin built in 1930 by The Steiner Family, who also helped build Timberline Lodge. Today you can see some of Henry Steiner’s tools on display at Timberline Lodge. The Steiner Cabins are well known for their bent wood, knoted features, and unique designing.
It includes a fully equipped kitchen, fire place, TV & VCR, free videos (over 235 titles), 1 ½ bathrooms, washer/dryer, all season BBQ deck, CD/cassette/Radio, and hot tub. It is very cozy and rustic.
It's about 15 minutes to the Mt. Hood Snow Parks, walking distance to two rivers (Zig Zag River & Still Creek), over 2,000 miles of hiking trails within the Mt. Hood Forest area. There is plenty of fishing at several nearby rivers and lakes.
