The location The summerhouse is found in the settlement area of Berlin - Biesdorf, one of the edge districts of Berlin. Of the village history of this area there isn't so much to say. Napoleon made a stop here after conquering Jena and Auerstedt in 1806, and gave a military parade to celebrate it. In the park of Biesdorf the first test drive of an electric railroad in Germany took place here. The dwelling is surrounded by a maintained 1100 sqms large garden. This calm position offers respite - particularly for Berlin visitors or people, who want to make an out of the city-centre Berlin vacation. Nevertheless you are relatively close to the city - and here there is much to discover. Additionally here are shopping centres with supermarket, baker and butcher as well as tram and bus, all are attainable within a 5 minutes walk. Several restaurants, eg. German, Greek, Italian and Croatian kitchens are in direct proximity. Altogether with public transport you are in the heart of the city within 30 minutes. The tram leaves every 3-7 minutes. There are also night lines running. The summerhouse The house is approx. 50 sqms in diameter, and was recently fully reconditioned. It consists 1 small room with a bed, a kitchen, toilet/shower and large living room, bedroom with a double bed (consisting of 2 single beds), and sheltered terrace. The living room is equipped with a comfortable sleeping couch (for 2 persons), TV, radio and a large dining table. In the cooler seasons when you cannot sit on the terrace, you still have a marvellous view of the garden (see picture below). The kitchen is quite small, but very practically equipped with all necessary needs catered for. There is a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave with grill, coffee machine, toaster, complete table-ware as well as a gas cooker. Cooking spices are also provided. The terrace is furnished, and it's a special pleasure to have breakfast there or sit in the evening at the charcoal grill and to let the day go by. The holiday house is electrically-heated. Additionally the chimney oven can be ignited by the owner, providing comfortable warmth. Bedlinen and towels are made available and changed weekly. Parking situation No problem, there are always sufficient parking possibilities in front of the property. The area is classified as safe.
