When you open the door, not only will you be struck by the vibrant Caribbean colours but our apartment comes fully equipped with beautiful new dishes, glasses, kitchen utensils, coffee-maker, coffee-grinder, juicer, kettle, iron & ironing board, orthopaedic mattresses, non-allergenic pillows, a safe for your valuables*, TV with over 60 channels including CNN, NW, DW and satellite provided English, French, German and Spanish channels, and numerous other necessary items to make your stay comfortable. The appliances, dining area table and chairs, sofa-bed, curtains, and linens were newly purchased in June 2004. Everything in the bathroom, including wall and floor tiles, is new. The bathroom has a large shower stall with adjustable shower head suitable for tall and not so tall people; also a new toilet, sink and brightly lit vanity. The bedroom has 2 single beds which can be placed together to make one large king-sized if so desired and a large wall mirror overlooks the dresser and the bed. The bedroom also boasts a night table with Dominican artisan lamp, tropics style louvered closet and bedroom doors and a colour coordinated ceiling fan. A wall-safe for valuables is available.* A hand painted wooden parrot and a picture of a Dominican sunset complete the island flavour of the room. Floor-length curtains covering the sliding doors to the balcony match the custom made sofa bed. TV and table, coffee table, and a new Spanish style dining table with 4 padded chairs made of Dominican pine make up the rest of the furnishings. On the walls are native paintings and Taina art gourd shells. The kitchen area has new cupboards, new sink and taps, added lighting above the sink, new fridge and stove, and a kitchen trolley for added counter space. On the freshly painted and newly tiled balcony you?ll find a patio table with 4 chairs and for quick drying of bathing suits, etc., a clothesline can be easily strung. Above all, our apartment has a brand new remote controlled high-capacity air conditioner. Manuals for every appliance are in the kitchen cupboard.
