Our cottage was built as a miner's cottage in the 1880s and has been lovingly refurbished to provide comfortable holiday accommodation for up to 6 people. The cottage is ideally located for walking, cycling, climbing, sailing - or just relaxing and enjoying the Lake District scenery. From the cottage door you can walk to the summit of Helvellyn or the High Street range; Ullswater lake is within 5 minutes' walk and offers steamer services, canoeing, sailing or rowing; there are numerous valley and woodland walks; there is lots for the kids to do; and the towns of Keswick, Windermere, Ambleside and Grasmere are within a 30 minute drive.
