Gail & Chris welcome you to L'Hirondelle (meaning The Swallow), a charming 19th century farmhouse, offering delightful bed & breakfast accommodation. Located in the heart of 'Le Parc Naturel Regional Perigord-Limousin', we are ideally situated to explore the varied and beautiful attractions of the Haute-Vienne, Dordogne and Charente departments. L'Hirondelle is set in the rolling Limousin countryside overlooking a wooded river valley. We are only 2 kms from the pretty village of St Mathieu, which provides full amenities including a petrol station, banks and a supermarket. Our restful rooms await you after a busy day, with a choice of King Sized double or twin bedded rooms. All rooms are tastefully decorated and benefit from luxury en-suite facilities. Tea and coffee making facilities available in each room. L'Hirondelle also benefits from full central heating and a wood burning stove in the lounge for the cooler months. For the comfort of all, L'Hirondelle operates a no smoking policy within the house. Fresh croissants & bread await you at breakfast along with a selection of fruit, yoghurts and preserves. Served with a choice of fruit juice, coffee or English tea if preferred. Breakfast is usually taken on the sunny terrace in the summer months. A four course evening meal is also available by arrangement on selected evenings and is taken 'en famille' (with the hosts and other guests). The price for this is 18 euros per person, child's meal at 9 euros per child up to the age of 10.
