The Cevennes have a pleasant and warm climate, however a little cooler than than the mediteranean coast, which is welcome especialy during hot summers.

The house is located in the Cevennes Natural Park (peripheral area), with numerous trails, including a beautiful one overlooking the Gardon river and which begins next to the house. Children also appreciate the tropical aquarium in St Jean du Gard (4.5 km).

St Jean du Gard is a well developped small town with all kind of shops, including local art and crafts. But the must is to experience the ttwo weekly street markets, Tuesday for farmers and provencal type market, and Saturday for antiques. An experience not to miss.
