If you hire a car, even better - magnificent deserted coves, shipwrecks and wild cliffs are just a 30 minute drive away and roads are straight and empty! If you want entertainment, it is there - many places have live groups, karaoke, quizzes and bingo! But please do not expect Benindorm - this is low key to match the low buildings - not a high rise in sight! You can hop over to Lanzarote for the day, go to the weekly market, go camel riding or explore little fishing villages.
