Xaymaca is a beautifully restored, traditional 19thC, rural two-storey house offering superb self-catering accomodation for up to 8 people. Spacious areas with original high beamed ceilings, stone walls and terracotta tiled floors blend with warm sunny colours and an ingenuous mix of antique, rustic and contemporary furnishings. ((where quality is the trademark)). The fusion of Mediterranean and Caribbean features help to create a charming and harmonious atmosphere where quality is the trademark. Upstairs, there are 4 en-suite bedrooms, each decorated with an individual theme. Two have queen sized beds and share a secluded terrace with mountain views while the other two have twin beds and overlook the village. The four bathrooms are ample and fitted with the latest sanitary ware; three have walk-in showers and one has a whirlpool bath. Downstairs are two spacious lounges with comfortables sofas, coffee tables and wood burning stoves. The main lounge, overlooking the patio, is equipped with TV, video/DVD and tape/CD player and a library area with a wide selection of books and board games. The other lounge shares an open plan area with the dining room that has a large table with seating for 8-10 people. Th colourful rustic styled kitchen is fully equipped with state of the art appliances to meet all culinary needs. The house has central heating and all bedrooms have air conditioning units. Outdoors, there is a wide choice of areas for everyone. Al-fresco dining in the patio beside the fountain, surrounded by verdant plants and flowers; swimming in the large 11x4m pool with panoramic views over the valley; relaxing or reading under shady trees in the garden, or simply wandering and picking fruit from the orchard. There is also a BBQ area for preparing outdoor meals.

Local Area Details

Located on the edge of the village of Benimeli, Xaymaca is only a few minutes walk from the village square which boasts a cultural centre, bar/restaurant serving delicous homecooked meals, a grocery store and bakery. The village?s infrastructure is sufficient to meet the needs of both visitors and residents. Strategically situated, its ideal location allows visitors the best of two worlds: the tranquillity of laidback village life yet easy access to many places of interest or coastal resorts with more activity. Valencia and Alicante airports are both 90Kms away. Within a 8-30 Km radius there are: 3 championship golf courses (Oliva Nova, La Sella , Javea), 3 natural parks (Montgó¬ ¿arjal de Pego & the Peñ³® de Ifach), as well as a Safari Park (6Km). Excellent beaches for swimming, windsurfing, sailing (10 Km); horseriding, tennis, cycling and nearby mountain trails for walking, hiking or climbing. Benidorm and its three theme parks is only 30 mins by motorway.
Prehistoric caves (6Km), Moorish castles, museums, crafts and antique markets and wineries are some of the other attractions in the area. There is an excellent and varied selection of restaurants offering from local homecooked dishes to Michelin star nouveau cuisine. A full agenda of fiestas and celebrations throughout the year, but especially in summer, provide the festive touch to this region which will leave its mark on your memory.
