Right out our back door is 1/2 mile of private river - the famous North Fork of the South Platte. This was Eisenhower's favorite river for trout fishing. There is also a pond to practice your casting in which kids are guaranteed to make a catch. Be sure to bring your favorite pole! If fly fishing is your passion, we offer professional Orvis Guides who provide instruction, equipment and guide services. The Ranch and Guides take great pride in their fish and this pristine stretch of river. Additional fly fishing trips are available off ranch with our guide Kevin Gregory. Established in 1985, North Fork Ranch & Fishing Lodge (Orvis Endorsed) rests quietly along one half mile of the tranquil North Fork of the South Platte River. Sitting at an elevation of 8100 ft., we adjoin Pike National Forest, Lost Creek and Nt. Evans Wilderness areas. Only one hour southwest of Denver, all our rides will venture into gorgeous meadows with wildflowers, shimmering aspen groves, awesome rock cliffs and ponderosa pine. The continental divide with it's 14,000 snow capped peaks are always visible to our west. Two and a half miles of private water for the avid fly fisherman. Everything you could want is included in one price. Great activities, including horseback riding, whitewater rafting, hiking, trap shooting and riflery will fill your days. As the sun sets you'll enjoy hayrides, square dancing campfire sing-alongs, mountain man story teller, or simply enjoy a glass of wine aside a crackling fire with your new found friends. In addition to weekly stays, we also offer 3, 4, and 5 nights.
