La Scierie is situated in a small hamlet, 4kms from the village of Le Bugue, a village with all amenities for your everyday needs - supermarkets, banks, doctors, chemists, restaurants and every Tuesday the market. Le Bugue is on the river V�z�re, about 30kms from Sarlat, 50kms from Perigueux and 50kms from Bergerac. If you are interested in history, castles, medieval villages....the list would be too long to mention all that it is possible to visit. The castles of Castelnaud, Beynac and Biron are all worth a visit. Just walking in the little roads of the villages that surround these castles, seeing the houses their walls and roofs is a real pleasure. Other than castles there are the world famous caves of Lascaux, the museum of the prehistoire at Les Eyzies, the village of Le Bournat in Le Bugue and numerous little villages all within a few minutes drive. Everyday there is a market in the surrounding villages, you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables or try the local specialities. For the more sportive there are lots of possibilities: tennis, fishing, canoeing and VTT are possible in Le Bugue, horse riding 6kms, golf at 15 and 25kms.
