Convenient for walkers in the fells or coastal paths. The Lake District National Park in the UK is an area of outstanding natural beauty, which is suitable for a vacation at any time of the year. Heights View is very conveniently located for Lake Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness, and Ulverston just off the main A590. The historic village of Cartmel has a priory as well as the famous racecourse. It is also opposite the Haverthwaite Steam Railway museum from where you can catch a train to Lakeside, visit the Aquarium of the Lakes or take a steamer across Windermere to Bowness or Ambleside. Heights View, a detached bungalow, is ideal accommodation for a walking holiday and for lovers of the lakes. It lies in extensive landscapes gardens opposite the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway Station. 5 miles from the Lakeland market town of Ulverston and 2 miles from the foot of Windermere, it is an ideal base for touring the southern lakes and Furness peninsular. Heights View accommodates 6 people and offers a travel cot and high chair for babies. The accommodation is to a high standard and offers all the comforts of a modern home. The accommodation comprises 1 King Size bedroom, I Family Bedroom with a Double bed and additional Full Size bunk beds through an archway into the Annexe, Bathroom with shower attachment, Conservatory, Lounge, Family Lounge, Fitted Kitchen and Utility Room. There are 4 tv's, a PC with Games and Internet Access and a payphone. The landscaped terraced gardens offer two patio areas. The driveway and car port can accommodate 4 cars. The local pub, the Angler's Arms, serves excellent food and is only 100 yds away. Food can also be purchased at the Haverthwaite Steam Railway across the road. The cottage benefits from double and triple glazing and oil fired central heating, making it very cosy even in the winter months. Since it was introduced to the rental market in mid-August 2003 it has consistently received better than average ratings for 'match the description' and 'value for money' our customer feedback survey. Please note that the changeover day is Saturday during peak season and negotiable otherwise. Short breaks are available at short notice and off-peak at 20% of the weekly price per night with a minimum stay of 3 nights. Price on application or visit my website.
