In the heart of the Tuscan region, overlooking the city of Lucca, you can find a beautiful stone farmhouse which was previously used as a spiritual retreat for pilgrims and monks with the name Quaranta. Quaranta has been beautifully restored and divided into 7 comfortable apartments (2 - 6 persons), each one having its own individual character with stone terracotta floors and chestnut beamed ceilings. The house has several individual terraces each with garden furniture for Al Fresco dining and sunbathing. The swimming pool (12 x 8 meters) can be found on the main terrace with sun lounges from where you can enjoy one of the finest views of Lucca and the green Tuscan landscape that surrounds it. Rossini - sleeps 2 to 3 Cosy apartment with a kitchen/dining area, bathroom with shower, separate living room and bedroom (twin bed) with stunning views. In the living room is a small settee-bed which could be used for a child. Monteverdi - sleeps 2 A nice apartment with separate kitchen/dining area, a small living room and a very sunny bedroom with great views. Paganini - sleeps 2 A small cosy apartment on the ground floor with a living/dining room with kitchenette, you will find on the first floor a bedroom with twin beds and a bathroom. There is a terrace in front of the apartment for "al Fresco dining" this area is for communal use. Bellini - sleeps 2 - 4 A sunny and comfortable apartment with a spacious living-/dining area with open plan kitchen, bedroom with twin beds, bathroom, there is a settee-bed in the living room which can be used for one adult or 2 children. Vivaldi - 4 persons A comfortable and cosy apartment with a open plan kitchen, living room with a beautiful view, 2 bedrooms (twin beds and a double bed) a bathroom with a bath and separate shower. Verdi - sleeps - 4 An unique apartment with original "Al Fresco" painting on the ceiling and walls, a large living/dining room with a separate kitchen, 2 bedrooms (twin beds and 1 double bed), two bathrooms. Puccini - sleeps - 6 This apartment is situated on the top floor of the house and has an private roof terrace with stunning views. Puccini has a large living/dining room and open plan fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, 3 bedrooms,(one double and 2 twin bedrooms) and 2 bathrooms. Additional information Shared facilities in and around the house include the swimming-pool, a spacious living-room with satellite-television, a trustee-bar, a library of English videos and books, table tennis and a games table.
