Las Uvas has one bedroom and is thus perfect for couples, having a very comfortable king-size bed, built in wardrobe, bedside tables, 2 chests of drawers and a dressing table. French doors and a large window look onto the terrace and the mountains beyond. A cool wafting fan is available in summer and in winter a radiator with built in thermostat is provided. An ensuite bathroom stylishly tiled with a high pressure shower and copious amounts of piping hot water, toilet, washbasin, extractor fan and a wall mounted heater leads off the bedroom. Through an archway from the bedroom is the colourful living area, which is bathed in light due to numerous windows, which can be shuttered in the hot summer months. The kitchen area consists of a deep granite worktop, 2 ring gas hob, microwave, combi oven and grill, electric kettle, fridge and dishwasher. Locally crafted wooden shelves, cupboard and drawers provide storage space. A deep comfy sofa, dining table and chairs and bookshelves make up the rest of the living area, which has French doors leading out onto the terrace. A gas fire and further radiator are available for the cooler months. OUTSIDE Las Uvas has a large paved terrace outside partially shaded by an olive tree and festooned with plants in terracotta pots. Sunloungers, tables and a large umbrella are provided. Go up a few steps and a further vine covered (in summer) patio is available, giving a secluded feel and bordered by planted banks of flowers. A barbecue area and the grassy garden beyond with orange and olive trees and views of farmland and mountains complete the apartment’s private grounds. A short amble past the owners’ house takes you to the land. We have some 2 and a half acres of flat fields and steeper terraces planted with figs, pomegranates, oranges, lemons and nut trees. Butterflies and birds like the hoopoe and the scops owl can be glimpsed on the land and the heady scent of orange blossom in Spring or the gurgling of the water in the irrigation channels known as acequias are a joy to experience. Visitors are free to wander around as they wish, pick fruit in season and to use our family plunge pool, which has clean filtered water and is normally available from May to September. Perfect for a quick cooling dunk or a more leisurely wallow.
