It's a terrific set-up for families and friends who want to spend time together but also cherish their privacy. The upstairs boasts a cathedral ceiling in the main living area, a wrap-around deck with lovely views of Lake Rescue, a washer and dryer, and a hot tub out back to relax after a long summer hike or a strenuous day of skiing. The downstairs has a lovely dining/kitchen area with inviting Italian stone tile, and a cozy living area for relaxing with your friends. Cross the dirt road and step down through the trees to our private beach, where you can enjoy sailing, kayaking, row-boating, swimming, fishing or just sunbathing! In the spring and summer, barbecue on the deck, watch the gray herons that live just over the ridge, play volleyball in the large yard, go hiking in the forest, take the family on a picnic, or go for a road bike tour or mountain bike jaunt. Later, drive into the nearby village of Ludlow to lap up some ice cream, enjoy a gourmet meal or a slice of pizza, or peruse the shops. You'll also find theatre, rafting, summer camps for kids, maple sugar, farms, antiquing, outlet shopping in Manchester, and much more nearby. A four-season delight!
