La Chassagne is an old farmstead located in the rural tip of the Auvergne, France. Dutch couple Jan Schuit and Marijke Schuit-Frowijn have created on their rural estate a quiet, small camping site along with a few holiday cottages. The holiday cottages of La Chassagne are housed in the ancient buildings of the farmstead. The buildings border on a sheep meadow, the vegetable garden, and a forest full of birds. Because La Chassagne is situated on a hilltop, the cottages look out over a hedged landscape - valleys fringed with wooden banks. The spacious Lumberjack's House, la Maison du Bûcheron, is located in part of the original main house of the farmstead La Chassagne. From the patio, you look out over a little stream valley where cows graze. From the front of the house you walk onto the 'cour': the courtyard of La Chassagne.
