Water is supplied from a newly drilled well, and electricty from wind generator, with a gasoline generator as backup. The cottage is hidden away in a private 113 acre forest just 3 km from the town of Providence Bay via good gravel road. The property has a canoe, swimming, nature observation platforms, nature trails, outdoor fire pit, nature trails, apple orchard, vegetable gardens, and flower gardens.
