A 1/2 hour stroll through the oldgrowth forest to marvel at the lush tree ferns, 60m high eucalypts, fragrant rainforest trees and the tiny creatures scurrying on the moss covered forest floor. Lunch at nearby Home Hill Winery or another nearby attraction. Enjoy wine and cheese at the lookout as the sun sinks behind the hills. Possums, wallabies, bats and owls can be found most evenings. Self cater or enjoy a gourmet dinner served direct to your cabin or the outdoor entertainment area. A glass of fine local wine enjoyed under the stars soaking in the outdoor bath to end the perfect day at Huon Bush Retreats. Each cabin is private in it's own special setting. Choose from the absolute privacy of secluded Streamside Cabin, the spectacular forest gully outlook of Big Tree Cabin or the easy access and mountain view at Acacia Grove Cabin. Twelve volt solar electricity, supplies lights and music, whilst the wood fire keeps the cabin cosy, even under winter snows. Also a kitchen table, second sofa plus an outdoor setting. Tipees are not quite camping, not quite luxury cabin. Fully carpeted with double sofa bed, solar electric lights and music. The wood fired heater keeps them cozy year round. The shared facilities are just a minutes walk away. Self cater in well equipped kitchens or have meals to order delivered to your cabin or campsite. We can cater for outdoor functions for up to 60 people under cover. By day, abundant birds and small creatures inhabit the forest and open areas.
