Within easy reach is Elche/Elx famous for its Palm trees and Zoo, Torrevieja is only 15Km and has a water park and all the fun of this well known resort. The blue flag beach at Guardamar is just 13 km away. Algorfa / La Fontana Residential area Algorfa, well what can you say, it is a quiet Spanish village with the locals sitting outside their homes in the evening, just watching the world go by, they are very friendly. The village square is the centre of the village life, it is the place where the market is held at the weekend, there are two bars on the square and in one corner is the meeting place for the local domino players. There are numerous bars and eating places within the village. Major traffic in the village is limited to the rush hour when you may get 5 cars waiting at the traffic lights, the rest of the time the are just a few cars moving around. Algorfa is a place for relaxation and enjoying the nice weather, good food and meeting the local people. The population is around 1000.
