Somerset Lodge South is one of a pair of delightful listed archway lodges at the boundary of the Castle gardens and just 200 yards or so from the Castle. The wonderfully peaceful location offers idyllic views across the magnificent Park, with its variety of mature trees and ‘Chapel Mere’. The Lodge was completely renovated and refurbished during the summer of 2003 to provide uniquely charming holiday accommodation for up to four people. ACCOMMODATION – 1 double & 1 twin bedroom/1 bathroom— sleeps 4 max. Well equipped kitchen/diner with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher (dishwasher powder and washing-up liquid supplied) and washing machine (powder not supplied). Ground floor bathroom with power shower over bath (no shaver point). Sitting room with open fire (logs provided). TV (not satellite) and video player. Steep stairs to 1 double bedroom with WB and 1 small twin bedroom (beds end to end). Central heating throughout. Private small garden with table, bench and 2 chairs, overlooking Park. ON SITE FACILITIES - Cholmondeley Castle Garden is open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from early April until the end of September, in addition to Bank Holiday Mondays and Good Friday. The Garden is also open for two ‘Autumn Tints’ days in October. Guests in Somerset Lodge South will receive complimentary tickets for entry into the Castle Garden during the open season and days.
