About Fishing

About Scenery/Beauty Spots
What to say....just fantastic. So much beautiful scenery wherever you look. The wonderful colours, the light, the extra daylight - only dark for 3 hours during summertime! Mountains, geology, castles, waterfalls, lochs, sea, beaches, wildlife, and much more.
About Local Restaurants
Great fresh seafood and shellfish. Hand dived scallops in garlic butter, highland beef, venison, haggis, lamb, etc. Good restaurants like Highland Cottage, Javiers, Anchorage, Cafe Fish, Meditteranea, also pub food at McGochans, Macdonald Arms, Craignure Inn, One Up at the Mishnish, etc. Cheese made on the island, and Island Bakery biscuits as sold in Harrods, are made here on Mull!
About Walking
Freedom to Roam in Scotland, means that you can walk anywhere so long as you observe the countryside code, and are respectful of farmers stock, etc. There are heaps of brilliant walks of varying lengths and abilities right from the cottage.
About Ferries
Caledonian MacBrayne runs the ferries to Mull daily. From Oban, or Lochaline, or Ardnarmurchan. Booking is essential.
