Going to Amalfi you sometimes get the impression that the town is having a party, as the local people have never lost the simple pleasure of getting together and having a good chat in an lovely artless fashion. The old town centre has almost entirely retained its medieval aspect, thanks to continuous restoration over time which means that today we can experience the harmony and beauty of times gone by. This is the land of the sirens, the wooers of Ulysses, where the nature is still on the wild side, the sea an emerald green, and the architecture features houses clinging to the rockface,traversed by narrow winding alleyways, it features a wealth of medieval architecture with a clear Moorish influence The apartment is in an ancient building in Amalfi, with access road to a pedestrian area which comes out in the square where is located the famous S. Andrea Cathedral. It's a very pleasant street with many attractive local shops, bars and typical restaurants. The local cuisine is very highly thought of and don't forget that we are in an area well-known for its local fish and the pizza.
