With an average of 326 sunny days each year, the weather in Cyprus can be counted amongst the finest anywhere in the Mediterranean. Average temperatures range from 15 degrees in January to 32 degrees in July & August. Annual rainfall ranges from 350mm to 400 mm in the central plains to 1200 mm at the peaks of the Troodos Massif, where rain is a much more common occurrence than at lower altitudes.
The apartment is at an altitude of 135 metres above sea level.

Minthis Hills Golf Club is situated in the hills around the village of Tsada,15 km north-east from the city of Paphos.

From Paphos you take the B7 direction Polis, at the village of Tsada you turn to the right into the village. Follow the E207 direction Kallepia until you find the signs towards the Golf Course, this is about 1 km from Tsada village.

Turn to the right and at the end of this road you find Minthis Hills Golf Club.
Founded in 1994 on the hills of Tsada, set on the grounds of 12th century monastery, in a verdant valley. Created by Donald Steel and renovated by Mackenzie + Ebert in 2006/07, it plays to a par 71 and measures 5828 meters. Situated on the outskirts of Pafos, the altitude of 550 meters above sea level ensures cool breezes during the summer months.

About Airport Information

Southern Cyprus is serviced by Larnaka and Paphos airports. The two airports handled over 7 million passengers in 2007. The Summer 2008 schedule at Larnaka and Pafos saw the introduction of new services between the UK and Cyprus with British Airways, Easyjet, Flyglobespan, Jet2.com and Monarch Scheduled, together with increased frequency and upgrading of services with CSA Czech Airlines, Emirates, Gulf Air, Lufthansa, Royal Jordanian Airlines, Rossiya Airlines, SkyEurope and XL.com. Major upgrades to the existing passenger terminals have been made, with the complete redevelopment of retail and catering outlets, expansion and modernization of arrivals facilities and meet-and-greet areas. Road access and car parking facilities have also been upgraded and modernized at both sites. The airport building at Paphos were officially opened in November 2008.

About Driving

The island benefits from an effecient motorway system that spans most of the southern side of the island. The days of the winding coastal roads that took ages to negotiate are gone, unless of course you are in the mood for exploring.
In Cyprus, you drive on the right and that's very convenient for those used to driving in the UK.

About History

Cyprus is a world heritage site with numerous historical and cultural attractions that reflect the rich and diverse history of the island. Details of many of these can be found in the apartment's information pack. The nearest is within walking distance at Emba itself. Other places worth a visit include the excavations on Paphos headland, Kourion & Kolosso Castle.
