There are three gites at Coetdevent, set around the large gravel forecourt which provides ample parking for numerous cars. Each gite has its own front lawn and pathway, equipped with garden furniture for outdoor eating, and BBQs. At the rear there is the securely fenced playing field with football goals, swings, and old tractor for imaginative play. The gites are set in four hectares (ten acres) of meadows surrounded by trees and fields, and on a very quiet country lane. There is a heated well fenced in swimming pool and a large barn with stables for all the animals – horses, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, cats etc. Pony riding is free of charge, and your children can learn how to groom, pick out hooves, and start to learn to ride and control a pony – Fil used to run a riding school in the UK. If we have any orphan lambs there are those to bottle feed too, and the goats and chickens to be fed. Le Chene has a large room downstairs, with a corner kitchen (english style with cooker, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, washing machine etc), a spacious seating area with comfy chairs and a tv with integral video, and a dining area. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and the bathroom which has a shower, toilet and washbasin. One bedroom has a double bed, one has 2'6" bunks and the third has two singles which can be converted into bunks. Upstairs the bedrooms and landing are carpeted, and the beds have uk duvets and pillows - we make the beds up before you arrive for no extra charge. At the top of the stairs is a permanent stairgate, and free of charge you can have a cot and a highchair if you need it. Heating is either electric, or with the stove in the pretty stone fireplace. There are lots of books, games, videos etc available. If your children like ponies, or if they have never even touched one before, they can come and help look after them with me, and learn to groom, pick out their hooves, and if they want they can try learning to ride on them. We do games in the playing field in the evenings with the ponies or go out down the quiet lane opposite for short rides. If you can already ride well, bring your own equipment with you and we can go out for a hack. Le Frene is like Le Chene but only has two bedrooms, one very large one with a double bed and one with bunks and a single for the children. Le Chataignier has a large sitting room with comfy chairs, and a tv with integral video player, a modern english style kitchen (cooker, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, washing machine etc.) and dining room downstairs.
