'Casa Pozo' is an older style character villa set in a charming private walled garden very close to the splendid unspoiled bay of Zahora. It is totally unpretentious. However, its simple charms and excellent location draw holiday makers back time and time again. All the bedrooms are doubles with double beds. All three have electric cooling fans. The two ground floor bedrooms have use of the main shower room with loo and hand basin. The first floor bedroom has its own shower room with loo and hand basin plus its own kitchenette with sink and toast and tea facilities. This bedroom has a patio door opening directly onto a huge roof terrace decorated with terracotta pots full of indigenous plants. In addition to the 3 double beds it is possible to sleep up to 3 additional singles on sofa beds. Sun and shade can be found all day in the garden or on the upper roof terraces where there are chairs for relaxing. In summer you may enjoy an early breakfast in the sunshine in the front porch. Here there are 3 armchairs and a sofa plus a couple of coffee tables. This is the best place to relax during the heat of summer. You may find you hardly use the inside for sitting. Once you have parked your car in the driveway and locked the gates you are totally enclosed in a pretty walled garden which is not overlooked. It is safe for children and dogs and they cannot escape. There is a very good built in BBQ area which has a real fire and 3 gas hobs. There are plenty of outside tables and chairs. Once you have arrived you are bound to want to see what the beach is like and you will not be disappointed! The sight of this scene is guaranteed to put a smile on the face of any weary traveller. You just turn left out of the gate and wander down the charming country lane to the beach, (beach chairs are provided at the house). When the tide is in you can enjoy swimming, cooling off or body boarding. At low tide very large shallow pools remain within the rocky outcrop to provide perfect conditions for children to play and learn to swim. The beach is of fine golden sand. It is just 400 metres from the house. You can enjoy the rural beauty on the way. There is a stone and thatch restaurant/bar beside the beach plus another wooden ranch style one. In summer there is a temporary beach bar (chiringuito) serving cold drinks and icecreams. You can enjoy the unspoiled environment almost alone. This really is one of the most sort after locations on the Costa de la Luz. After a visit to the beach you can wash off the sand in the garden shower. Very refreshing and stimulating on a hot summers day. The kitchen has 2 ovens with grills, a microwave, 4 ring gas hob, large family sized fridge / freezer, another fridge in the walk in pantry plus all the usual crockery and cutlery - toaster, kettle, etc. We do not have a TV and we do not apologise for this! We are confident you will enjoy your stay all the more without it. There is a good CD/radio/cassette player. Casa Pozo is all about relaxing, refocusing, enjoying yourself and getting back to the core values of life.
