In the Lot / Dordogne area, our fully furnished holiday house in France, near Bretenoux and St Cere is a traditional gite with a large sitting room upstairs, two double bedrooms and a spacious kitchen with dining area. It also has a shower room and a beautiful terrace overlooking our field with extensive views over the surrounding countryside. It easily sleeps 4 and 2 more can use the double sofabed in the sitting room. We love going there ourselves as life is so different from that in England. We meander up from Bretenoux about 5 miles into the hills through peach and walnut orchards and the vineyards of Glanes. Their wine is superb and we always come home with a case or two. Our neighbours look after the house for us as we have been going there for over 25 years and the village welcomes our British visitors. Bretenoux is a thriving medieaval town with a regular market. St Cere nearby is a larger town.
