Originally built in 1846 and called Sewerby-cum-Marton, it later changed its name to Flamborough before being sold off in the early 1970's. Since then it has been extended and now offers spacious, luxury, self-catering accommodation for the discerning guest in tranquil surroundings. Situated in an award winning complex of small cottages, The Annex still retains some of the original features and has its own private garden and allocated off-street parking. The garden is in fact part of the original railway platform and overlooks the single track where a 2 carriage rural line train passes hourly during daylight hours although it does not actually stop here. When the sun comes up, the outside area is baked in it all day and the patio area has seating so you can enjoy the peace and quiet. The property is pretty secluded and offers a relaxing break from all the stress of modern living. The Annex is fully equipped with all linen and towels, colour tv, washer/dryer, fridge and freezer, central heating, books, games and tourist information should you want to explore the fascinating diversity East Yorkshire has to offer. The Annex itself is single storey, ground floor but there are several steps within the complex grounds which may not be suitable for those with severe mobility problems. ( sorry no wheelchair access ) The Annex is TOTALLY NO-SMOKING. Bookings for the Annex are from FRIDAY-FRIDAY.
