With 45 square meters of space, this is a perfect apartment for a couple or young family. Not only is there outside space for people watching and enjoying a glass of wine, the apartment is right in the Old Town for restaurants and entertainment, and it is less than a minute walk to the bus station. With three large windows that are not particularly overlooked, there is fantastic light in the apartment that bounces off the shiny contemporary floor tiles. This compliments the minimalist look of clean lines and modern contemporary furnishings throughout. The kitchen is to the left of the apartment as you enter. Dark cream glossy doors complement the dark wood worktop and cupboards. There is a stainless steel oven and hob along with a large built-in fridge with a small freezer compartment. All the necessary utensils are provided for cooking. Facing the kitchen is a bar table and three tall stools for morning croissants or evening champagne. Whilst the table is not huge, it is big enough to eat a simple meal, and there is the table outside on the balcony for alfresco dining, if you prefer. The living area consists of a cream leather sofa and matching bucket chair, a large deep pile rug, and a low level console table. An LCD screen and a DVD hi-fi are provided which plays DVDs and CDs. And, you can plug in your MP3 player. An impressive contemporary lamp with dimmer switch sweeps over the sofa for reading or softer lighting in the evenings. Art work, some original pieces from the Old Town, adorn the walls and are complimented by orange leather coffee tables and selective ornaments. In the bathroom to the right, you will find a stylish sink and modern vanity unit, with a mirror over. There is a decent sized white bath with a shower screen and shower above and hidden to the side is the white WC. The whole bathroom is tiled in modern brown and cream tiles. In an alcove to the back of the bathroom, there is a washing machine with shelves above. The bedroom follows the clean lines of the living area but adds romantic touches like the chandelier, plush velvet pillows, and light blue matching curtains and a throw. A huge modern art canvass by a well-known and respected local artist hangs above the bed. There is a built in mirrored wardrobe to the right and another alcove with a rail and shelves, perhaps for coats and luggage, further back. The balcony is accessed from the bedroom. Here you can sit out and watch the world go by. Rue Centrale is largely pedestrianised, although there is a route for vehicle access here. This means the balcony is quiet and it is certainly the place for people watching. From the apartment, you can practically see the bus station, so it is just a minute away from accessing all transport links to the rest of the Riviera. An abundance of good restaurants are on your doorstep including a few of our favourites on the Nice Cuisine pages. Stroll through the Old Town and you will reach the beach and Promenade in 5 minutes. Place Massena is just a few minutes walk away in the other direction, so you are still near the main shops. It is a little more than a one-minute walk to the local supermarket.
